The cover of the book refers to this as a reference guide…which is a good description. The information is presented in themes. Each theme is briefly introduced followed by the ayaat and a brief interpretation of it, inferences are then offered related to clinical issues, where relevant, ahadith have also been added. It was a good read and I was prompted to make dua whilst reading it. I would have much preferred if this book was written more in essay format in the style of Yasmin Mogahed's 'Reclaim your heart'…But as it says on the front cover, it is meant to be a reference guide… it would be nice if in the future another book could be written based on the themes in this book and adapted into a self-help style book with themed chapters or essays exploring the themes in a more detailed conversational way like Yasmin Mogahed's book.
